Winter Vacation In Vail Colorado
Vail is a small and remote destination in Colorado. But don’t don’t avoid this destination of Vail’s remote and small size location because winter vacation in Vail Colorado is one of the most famous tour points in the USA.
The main reason is skiing between the Gore Ranges to the North and Swatch Ranges to the South. You will find one of the notable largest mountain resorts in the USA. Also, this place is full of restaurants, hotels, and spas. People come here to explore the Mountain Tour, Vail Village, Nordic Skiing, Snowshoeing, Ice Skating, and Gore Creek Path.
A month ago, I visited this place and the journey was unforgettable. There are many things to enjoy in Vail during winter and this place is budget-friendly. I already mentioned the budget list for Vail in my previous article.
Lunch at Mountain Standard Vail Restaurant
I reached Vail Colorado at 11:30 am. So before I started exploring, I entered Mountain Standard Vail Restaurant and decided to take my lunch. I had tasted Grilled Avocado and Pistachio Dip. Their service and food taste was amazing.
Alderhof Ice Rink
After I took Launch in Mountain Standard, I went to Lion’s Head Village. It took 20 minutes to walk. Then I went ice skating in the Alderhof Ice Rink. I’m not good at ice skating. So I slipped and fell a few times while ice skating.
Alderhof Ice Rink is enjoyable for both beginners and experts. So whatever you are, don’t miss this place while traveling to Vail.
Rimini Cafe
After having fun at Alderhof Ice Rink, I had a hot chocolate coffee at Rimini Cafe. In this area, there is a famous cafe. It was so cold during winter, so drinking coffee for warmup was my best option.
Vail Skiing Resort
This is where you can enjoy advanced skiing or learn to improve your skills. Not only that you can also enjoy snowboarding and snowshoeing across its vast terrain. Vail Skiing Resort was amazing for my winter vacation in Vail Colorado.
Vail Nordic Center
For people who prefer alternatives to downhill skiing but love snow, the Vail Nordic Center has many opportunities for them. The location is just a couple of minutes from Vail Village. You can explore cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
I enjoyed fat biking on fat biking trails because I love cycling in the snow. This place has a cozy lodge. You can warm up and enjoy refreshments after your adventures.
Vail Village
After exploring the Vail Nordic Center, I headed to Vail Village. I recommend you to visit this village in the afternoon or evening.
Shopping at Vail Village
There you will find many European-style villages. The village is full of charming shops, restaurants, and boutiques shop. So do some shopping here.
Ice Skating at Vail Village
Vail doesn’t have a shortage of ice skating places. In Vail Village, you will also find an ice skating rink. You will find an outdoor ice skating rink in Solaris Plaza.
Events In Vail Colorado
If you visit this place during winter, you can enjoy two special events. One is the Vail Film Festival and the other is the Vail Snow Daze.
Vail Film Festival
The Vail Film Festival is usually held in late winter. You will explore panels, screenings, and events celebrating independent film.
Vail Snow Daze
Don’t miss the Vail Snow Daze’s street parties, live concerts, and other festivities.
