Natural History Museum of Utah
The Natural History Museum of Utah is located on the east side of Salt Lake City. As I love to explore things related to dinosaurs I loved this museum. The museum is full of different types of animal skeletons. But the dinosaur skeleton in the middle of the museum was awesome. It will be more joyful for you if you have never seen them before. After visiting the full museum, I went to the top floor where I enjoyed a great view of this place. Living Room Trail
This is a short e hiking experience that was only two miles. It was amazing when I was at the top of Salt Lake City. You will see there are rocks with which you can make a temporary chair, table, or any other home furniture. For that reason, this place is called Living Room Trail.
Utah State Capital Building
Utah State Capital Building is one of the most beautiful buildings in the USA. You will see here marvel cover walls. The design of the whole building was incredible. I spent here almost 30 minutes and I enjoyed Utah State Capital. That is the reason I keep this place on the list of the Best things to do in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Pioneer Memorial Museum
The Pioneer Memorial Museum is located next to the Utah State Capital Building. This museum stands to preserve your pioneer history with many pieces that you have never seen in a museum. The 4th floor of the Pioneer Memorial Museum was filled with artifacts when I was visiting this museum. I saw there some dolls, old photos, a two-headed lamb, and, an old fire engine. These are unique collections of this museum.
Temple Square
This is the most visited place for religious people. The massive and best view of Temple Square is from the east view. I saw there some old historic buildings. But this is more beautiful at night than day.
Family History Library
Family History Library stands next to Temple Square. People from all over the country come here not only to read historical books but also to see the beauty of the building. It takes 20 minutes to visit the whole library. You can walk around the building and see lots of information about lineage.
City Creek Shopping Center
This is one of the most famous shopping centers in this place. As I am not a shopping lover person, I didn’t enjoy it. But you can enjoy walkways indoors and outdoors. City Creek Shopping Center has many unique shop. This place is great for photos. For shopping reasons, I keep it on the list of best things to do in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Cathedral of Madeleine & Victim of the Beast Gravestone
The Cathedral of Madeleine is a Roman Catholic Church that was built in 1909. This is a beautiful old building to explore. If you love to explore architecture, you should check it out. And Victim of The Beast Gravestone is famous for its unique inscription. People also visit it for the number 666 which is written in the inscription.
Original KFC
Most people don’t know the original KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) started in here. This is the first restaurant of the famous restaurant chain KFC. That is the reason, I keep this place on the list of Best things to do in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Leonardo Museum
This is probably my favorite museum in Salt Lake City. You will see there a large plane and some science experiments. Upstairs they have some exhibits with optical illusion. That was pretty cool to me. During my solo trip to Salt Lake City, I visited this place. But you can also visit this place with your family and friends.
Salt Lake City Public Library
The Salt Lake City Public Library is across from the Leonardo Museum. Most people don’t visit this place for the library but for its beauty. The most amazing part of this Library is that you can read books and see the beautiful view of surrounding area . Tracy Aviary
Tracy Aviary is a place of bird-loving people. This Liberty Park has an overall eight-acre aviary house and 130 different types of birds reside in Tracy Aviary. Tracy Aviary was opened in 1983. I spent here few hours and the experience was joyful.
Big Cottonwood Canyon
Big Cottonwood Canyon is a popular winter destination for skiing and snowboarding. But during the summer it becomes wonderful for hiking. also, You can enjoy the beauty of Big Cottonwood Canyon by driving a car.
Antelope Island State Park
This is my favorite favorite place in Salt Lake City. You can enjoy this place with tons of hiking trails, a great view of the lake, and lots of bison. You don’t always see them. I spent almost 6 hours here but I only saw bison just for two minutes.
Food Corner
Red Iguana
This is the most visited palace in this city and this is a busy palace all day long. The most famous food of this restaurant is Mexican food.
Eva’s Bakery
This Bakery is famous for pastry, cake, and coffee. I recommend this palace for a quick breakfast. If you want to spend a little more time in this restaurant, there is a small sit-down restaurant in the back.
Oh Mai Sandwich Kitchen
I have eaten more at this restaurant. Always I tested this restaurant’s food whenever I came here. So I keep this restaurant on the list of the best things to do in Salt Lake City, Utah.
