Things To Do In New York City

When I visited New York City, I discovered that it is a city that never sleeps. This city is one of the largest cities in the USA. You can’t cover the full city within a month. So you must specify some place to travel. In this article, I will describe the best things to do in New York City. This is very expensive to travel or stay in New York City but I managed to explore the whole city using the Metro Rail. You will buy a two-day Metro Card. With this card, you can travel for two days with Matro Rail for unlimited time. The Matro Rail also has free Wi-Fi. Even you don’t need to register.

Statue Of  Liberty

Statue Of Liberty

When I was a child, I knew America by the Statue Of Library. This is the symbol of freedom and democracy. The height of it is 151 feet. It’s located on Liberty Island in the New York Harbor. To visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island I had to buy only a single ticket. If I told you about the best things to do in New York City then the Statue Of Liberty should be number one.

Times Square

Times Square

Times Square is located in the heart of Manhattan. People love this place for electrified ad boards. When I visited Times Square, this place fascinated me with electrified ad boards. Times Square’s name is from the name of a newspaper named The New York Times built in 1904. 1904 was also the year when the first electrified ad board started in the Square. Every day at 11.57 pm this place turns into an art show for three minutes.

One World Observatory & 9/11 Memorial

One World Observatory

One World Observatory is the tallest building in North America. When visiting this place, I almost stood for one hour to see the outside view. One World Observatory provides an awesome view of New York City from above 1250 feet. Also, I enjoyed the memorable elevator raid. This building was rebuilt after the 9/11 terrorist attack. That’s why the 9/11 Memorial was made. This is located in the location where the tween tower was located. Also, I visited the survivors tree that survived the attack on 9/11.

Central Park

Central Park

Central Park is the most visited park in the USA and from my personal experience, this is the most famous part of the world. It impressed me with its features lakes, meadows, impressive buildings and much more. In 1958, the first area was opened. Tall buildings surround the park. The Bow Bridge was also attractive to me. This thing is featured in many Hollywood movies.

Museums

Guggenheim Museum

New York City has many museums of culture and art. Many of the famous museum is located on Manhattan’s 5th Avenue. Guggenheim Museum is the house of Impressionist, Post-Impressioninst, and contemporary art. This museum is also famous for its incredible architecture. Then I visited The Museum of Modern Art. That offers a collection of modern and some awesome art.

After that, I visited the New York Transit Museum to learn about the amazing history of the New York Complex Transit System. There are many museums in New York. But when I describe the best things to do in New York City, I must describe these three.

Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal

If I want to tell you about some famous train terminals, then Grand Center Terminal should be in top number 5. This is located in Midtown Manhattan. I found here some shops and restaurants with several different labels. I discovered the most iconic clock in the middle of the Grand Central Terminal.

This place is also famous for meeting palace. This terminal was completed in 1913 and this is the most attractive place for tourists. Whispering Gallay was an amazing place. In this place, if you whisper from a corner, another person from another corner will easily hear your sound.

Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge is a connector between Brooklyn and Manhattan. That was first opened in 1883. This is the largest suspension bridge in the world. This bridge is banned for commercial vehicles. Every day Almost 10,000 people pass through this Brooklyn Bridge. When I stood on the bridge I saw the amazing views of Lower Manhattan on the one side and the Historic Brooklyn on the other side. It takes 20 minutes to pass the bridge.

Wall Street

Wall Street

Wall Street is located in Manhattan’s financial district. It became a synonym for the American financial markets as two of the largest stock exchanges in the world. New York Exchange market and NASDAQ are located in the Wall Street area.

The most amazing building on Wall Street is the New York Stock Exchange Building. I have seen two statues But what I enjoyed most is Charging Bull. That is located in Bowling Green Park nearby.
