If you are starting your tour in Ogunquit, Maine, I recommend visiting Ogunquit Beach first. I enjoyed the amazing weather in Beach. This place boasted three miles of Coastline where I posted all afternoon and soaked up some sun. This beach has amazing white sand and can’t stop you from spurring these on. I explored the Sand Castle Building, Surfing, Flying, Kites, and much more.
People who have gone there before have found it to be a fantastic spot. I visited Ogunquit Beach alone. But this is also enjoyable for the family. There is a separate beach for the family. The water there is particularly calm. You will see there is a little pool that is enjoyable for younger. For all these reasons I decided to keep this place on the list of the best things to do in Ogunquit, Maine.
Marginal Way
This place is the best way to view the gorgeous Ogunquit Coastline. The shore is lovely for hiking and most of the people can easily be able to do that. Because this is not only paved but also fairly flat. Marginal Way is only a mile and a quarter long. So you can easily go back and back. The ocean views from the Marginal Way are great. For this reason, it become a major tourist destination in Ogunquit, Maine.
You don’t have to walk the entire length because there are some spots along the way where you can easily enter the marginal way. But I will recommend you to begin around Parkins Cove and continue to Shore Road. After that, you can go to Ogunquit Beach. Bald Head Cliff
Bald Head Cliff is famous for catching a sunset. There I stayed for 5 days and every day I went to Bald Head Cliff to watch the beauty of the sunset. There are many spots in Ogunquit for watching live sunset but Bald Head Cliff is favorite to me because of the Cliff House Resort. You can stay there if you are looking for an incredible sunset view and want to have the best dinner. I have eaten some freshly caught Lobster and other Seafood.
Ogunquit Museum of American Art
When you get tired of the sun and want to get some culture then you can go to Museum of American Art. This museum is completely based on American art. Ogunquit Museum of American Art offers you more than 3000 pieces in a variety of mediums.
You will be able to explore the paintings and photographs of Jacob Lawrence, Marsden Hartley, and other American artists. This museum is open from May 1st to the end of October. So if you are thinking about a tour in Ogunquit in winter then don’t add it to your list.
Perkins Cove
Perkins Cove is a small area that is known for fishing. When one of my friends told me that is a small place for fishing, it was hard to understand why Perkin Cove would be a tourist attraction. It also has a picturesque pedestrian drawbridge and this is one of the main spots for photography.
If you want to save your memory and want to get some photos and reels for your Instagram then this place is for you. You can also enjoy the beauty of local Costline. I recommend you to walk around the area because there are many shops and restaurants there. You can taste some seafood like me. Ogunquit Playhouse
This was constructed in 1937. Ogunquit Playhouse is the place to see talent performing works of theater. If you want to get some entertainment visit this Playhouse. You can enjoy their music and theater drama. Ogunquit is closed in winter. So it is only recommended for summer visitors.
Bread and Roses Bakery
Bread and Roses Bakery has served local people and visitors since 1989. You can take breakfast, biscuits, chocolate cake or a cup of coffee from it. This Bread and Roses Bakery is a great support for the local economy too.
