Portland, Maine

Portland, Maine

From my experience, Portland fascinated me with its enchanted mansions and sea beaches. I found this place to be one of the best in the United States, also considering it one of the safest places for me. I encountered a lighthouse standing by the sea that transported me back to 1791.

Walking along the stone path, I stumbled upon some quaint bookshops lining the roadside. Additionally, I explored the Museum of Art, where I gained insight into Portland’s history and artistic endeavors. For families with children, the Children’s Museum is a must-visit—it’s also quite charming. So keep this place on your list of solo travel in USA. Read More…

New York City, New York

New York City, New York

When I visited New York City, I discovered that it is a city that never sleeps. Traveling or staying in this city can be very expensive, but I managed to explore the entire city using the Metro Rail.

During all my visits to the city, I relied on the metro for transportation, and the most exciting thing was purchasing a two-day Metro Card for unlimited travel throughout the city. Oh, and here’s some good news for you: the Metro offers free Wi-Fi without the need for registration. While visiting the World Trade Center, I toured the museum and saw the original parts of the Twin Towers, which was a very emotional experience for me. Read More…

Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

People who love mountains, small rivers, and springs will adore Harpers Ferry. Hiking enthusiasts particularly cherish this place, as there are many hiking spots in the vicinity. Last year, I visited this place, being an avid hiker myself. Additionally, as a candy lover, Harpers Ferry holds a special place in my heart due to its historic candy shops.

I bought some candies for myself and also to take home. Harpers Ferry is a quaint little town nestled amid natural beauty. The people of this place are so friendly and welcoming. Read More…

Pensacola Beach, Florida

Pensacola Beach, Florida

Who doesn’t love the green and sea? If we’re talking about the Green Sea, then how did I miss Pensacola Beach? The most captivating aspect of this place to me is its sugar-white sand, which truly resembles sugar. I couldn’t take my eyes off the green water; it was so clear that I could see 30-40 feet below the surface. Despite my fear of diving, I couldn’t resist having a brief diving experience in that clear water, although it only lasted about five minutes.

Pensacola Beach is situated on a Barrier Island and boasts around 15-20 restaurants. I only had a cup of coffee while I was there. When I spoke to some locals, they advised me that the best time to visit is between April and September, as the temperatures are more pleasant during these months. They recommended this to me because, at other times, the temperature can be quite high. Additionally, I visited the National Seashore, which is only a few minute’s distance from Pensacola Beach. Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City

That was an amazing experience when I toured Salt Lake. I visited around 10 places in Salt Lake City, Utah. A road divides this place into two parts. From my perspective, it’s one of the best places for photography. I took some pictures of myself and also of the surroundings. When I looked at the lake’s water, it resembled a reflection of the sky. It was a truly relaxing experience for me. Then I decided to visit the Utah State Capitol. It’s made of white marble stone and features intricate white designs.

However, I didn’t enjoy this place too much. Afterward, I went to A Class Theater and enjoyed a show. Following the show, I decided to visit the Clark Planetarium. The planetarium is full of scientific exhibits and as a student with a background in science, I really enjoyed this place. After that, I went to see Dianachor, so I visited the Natural History Museum. Additionally, I visited Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Salt Lake Public Library, Redwood, and Red Butte Garden. So don’t compromise this place on your list of solo travel in the USA. Read More…

Olympia, Washington

Olympia, Washington

Visiting Capitol Park was a good experience for me because it is relatively small to visit. It’s only 3 km long, and it took me 30 minutes to cover the entire area. The Olympic Flight Museum is also a worthwhile place to visit. I saw a large collection of aircraft, with almost 15-20 aircraft on display.

Then I went to the Olympia Farmers Market, where I found fresh vegetables and fruits. I bought some fruit and handmade biscuits there. Mount Rainier National Park is my favorite place in Olympia, Washington, because I found a lake, a small forest (for night camping), a mountain, and a small river there. Read More…

Aspen, Colorado

Aspen, Colorado

In Aspen, Colorado, at first, I decided to visit Maroon Bells. This place is mostly popular for hiking and photography and is close to the City Center, only 9 kilometers away. Then, I traveled to Independence Pass, which is actually a scenic road trip with small hills on both sides of the road.

Afterward, I went for the Silver Queen Gondola. However, I didn’t enjoy this place much because of its coldness. If you are fond of cold weather, then you will definitely love this place. Finally, I decided to visit Crater Lake, which looks like a little island. Read More…

Ogunquit, Maine

maine

Ogunquit, Maine, is one of the hidden treasures of the USA. I visited this place in the summer. The reason for my visit in summer is because of the weather. Before I visited, I had heard from people that it was often frozen and snow-covered.

However, upon visiting, I realized that Maine has a temperate climate most of the year. This place has many attractions, including Ogunquit Beach, Marginal Way, Bald Head Cliff, Ogunquit Museum of American Art, Perkins Cove, and Ogunquit Playhouse. Read More…

Mystic, Connecticut

Connecticut

Mystic, Connecticut, is the number one shipbuilding area in the USA, although I didn’t visit this place for that reason. I visited Mystic for its sea-related attractions. I particularly enjoyed sea journeys aboard small ships and exploring the Mystic Seaport Museum. Additionally, I highly recommend visiting Mystic Aquarium, Trove, Mystic Pizza, Olde Mistick Village, The Mystic Museum of Art, Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, and Charles W. Morgan.
