Solo Travel in Alaska, North Carolina
I had a dream to make a tour in Alaska. So I decided to have a travel tour experience in Alaska a few months ago. I went there for 10 days and was going to be cruising up the coast of Alaska with Seabourn. Seabourn is the name of a luxury cruise line. They were very helpful in hosting me on my solo trip to Alaska. I was so excited about this trip. On the first day, we were in Ketchikan.

ToggleExploring Seabourn
So that was my first time on a cruise ship and I don’t know how this ship would be. When I felt bored, I made a little tour of the vessel, and guess what I saw? There was a lift on the ship. Actually, this ship has nine or ten floors. On the top backside of the boat, they have a pool and two hot tubs surrounded by all of the natural scenery. That was amazing.
Exploring Ketchikan
Ketchikan is the 1st city of Alaska. This place is also known as the Salmon Capital of the World. Ketchikan City is a cute little coastal town. You will see there many colorful buildings. There I learned about how to fish. We went out for fishing and after that, we were in a wilderness camp. When I was in camp, it was raining outside and the weather was so cold. So I wore 4 layers of cloth to get the real Alaskan experience. We had a bonfire going and ate some local fruit.
Rudyerd Bay
So after exploring Ketchikan, I went to the ship and fell asleep. The next day, I woke up and saw we were in Rudyerd Bay where the Misty Fjords National Monument is. This place is also called the Yosemite of Alaska. Here, I discovered many wild and aquatic animals. So solo travel in Alaska is perfect for you.
Sitka, Alaska
It was my dream for many years to come to this place. Sitka looks gorgeous and I didn’t miss to walk around to explore. I took some photos and videos. Also, I visited the Alaska Raptor Center. They rehabilitate injured birds and realize them after recovery. Alaska Raptor Center has helped to heal over 200 birds a year. When I was visiting this place, I discovered many types of birds.
Endicott Arm
When I woke up the next day, I discovered myself in Endicott Arm. I saw some chunks of ice and there are seals on these chunks of ice. In the afternoon I got on one of the Zodiac boats with the adventure team to get a closer look at the ice and seals. The Zodiac boat ride was amazing. You must try a zodiac boat ride if you solo travel in Alaska. For photography, it was the best thing ever.
Haines, Alaska
On the next morning, we started to explore Haines, Alaska. So I went to visit Kroschel Films Wildlife Center. This palace can be visited by appointment only. This Kroschel Center is for orphaned animals. It was amazing. There you’ll see many orphan animals and they all have a story. I found a two-week-old moose. A bear killed her mom.
Indian Islands Wildlife
The next day I was in the Indian Islands. This is a hotspot for wildlife. I saw there puffins, sea lions, and seals. I saw one of the most amazing things I had ever seen in nature. So we were out on the boats and saw sea lions on the rocks. Sea Lions surrounded us.
Anchorage, Alaska
That was my last day in Alaska and I was in Anchorage. After the cruise ended in Seward, I came here and decided to spend a few days there. So at first, I decided to visit Beluga Point. This place is famous for enjoying the sunset. Also there I discover Beautiful mountains and fascinating views of the water. I had to wait until 10 pm to enjoy the beauty of the sunset.
