No other city is like Toronto, Canada. This city has been describe as a New York run by the Swiss. Toronto is the center for history, foodie culture, diversity, and adventures. I visited this city a few days ago and I will describe my experience to you. Not completely,  I enjoyed those most. So be ready for the journey of the 10 best things to do in Toronto, Canada.

 

Toronto Island Tour

I took advantage of the city’s position on Lake Ontario by spending a whole day on the Toronto Islands. Toronto Island Tour is an affordable and short boat ride from downtown Toronto. During summer the islands are jampacked but serenely quiet in winter. The main three islands are Ward’s, Centre Island, and Algonquin.

 

Centre Island is the most popular island in Canada. I visited three of them; all three have the same area, such as barbeque areas, beaches, plenty and of parks. Centre Island has Centreville Amusement Park. You can enjoy more than 30 rides and this is loved by younger. Also, I visited Lighthouse, one of Toronto’s oldest structures.

Your trip should not be complete without visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame. Whether you are a Hockey lover or not, you should visit this place. Canada’s Wonderland

Canada’s Wonderland is located at a distance of 40 minutes from downtown. No matter what age you are, you can enjoy rides, games, diverse food, thrills, and attractions of Canada’s Wonderland. This themed park is divided into different areas such as a Snoopy-themed kid’s park, enough rides, and a full waterpark. You can try the wooden mighty Canadian Mine Buster that will most thrilling ride you have ever gotten. Also, you can enjoy the towering behemoth and the leviathan. These three are the tallest and fastest rides in the park.

 

This park is closed in the winter. During winter you’ll be treated to Winterfest with ice skating, live shows, and amazing lighting. For all these reasons Canada’s wonderland is a place for a thrilling and memorable day trip.


Royal Ontario Museum

Royal Ontario Museum is known to people as the name of ROM. This museum has the best collection of art, archaeology, cultural artifacts, and natural history. It doesn’t matter if you are a history lover or a nature lover, you will love the Royal Ontario Museum.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Do you want to explore underwater nature and aquatic life without getting wet? Then this will be the best place for you. You can explore here over 20,000 animals and nine different themed galleries. You can touch some of those and I’m sure that will be memorable for you. If you are with your children, visit the underwater viewing tunnel. You’ll see their sharks, giant lobsters, galleries of tranquil jellyfish, stingrays, and horseshoe crabs from international and Canadian water. If you are enough brave, you can try scuba drives into the shark tanks.


Toronto Zoo

This country is known for its wild animal life but Toronto is not the best if you are not visiting Toronto Zoo. In terms of size and biodiversity, this is one of the world’s largest zoos. Toronto Zoo has over 500 species represented. Toronto Zoo is divided into three themed zones such as African, Canadian, and Indomalia. You’ll find there Orangutans, Tigers, Red Pandas, Lions and many more animals.


CN Tower

If you decide to visit Toronto then recommended not to miss CN Tower. The height of the tower is 553 meters. This Tower was built in 1976. So it will also be a historical visit. You will see the best view of Toronto.

 

It was exciting to me when I explored hazards outside of CN Tower. Don’t forget to walk along a 1.5-meter wide ledge to get the adventurous feeling. St. Lawrence and Kensington Markets

People who love to go on trips will definitely love to open-air shopping. Kensington Market is not a traditional market. This market was where Jewish people went shopping. Here you will find international foods. Products and crafts. Also, you will find a wide range of boutiques. 

 

If you want a more open-air market then St. Lawrence is for you. This is the oldest market in the city. St. Lawrence’s red brick has been standing for over 200 years. This market is famous for its incredible variety of good food. For your kind information, I wanna tell you that Saturday is the farmer’s market and Sunday is the Flea market.


Distillery District

If you came here and didn’t acquire knowledge about history, local entertainment, and local culture, you’re missing out. When you walk on the street line, you will see Victorian buildings.
