What I love most about Breckenridge is the trolly tour that services locals and visitors alike. Historic Trolly Tour starts from the Breckenridge Welcome Center. Then it makes a loop around Main Street before returning to the first stop. It takes 30 minutes.
The Trolly tour is the best way to explore the town’s rich history. The trolly passes by historic buildings, beautiful landscapes, and old mining sites. This is educational and fun for all ages. Take a Drive Down Boreas Pass Road
Colorado is known for its stunning mountain vistas. On that beautiful 22-mile drive, I explored all the scenic vistas and overlooks. While driving along the Boreas Pass road, I was blown away by the majestic beauty of the Blue River over the 10-mile range as you cross the continental divide.
I felt like doing some hiking at Baker’s Tank Trailhead. This area is one of the popular hiking trails in Breckenridge. If you come to Breckenridge in winter, many of these trails double as cross-country skiing trails. This place has 36 campsites. So if you want to go camping, you can do it here.

Breckenridge’s History District
Walk through Breckenridge’s History District, if you are interested in learning about the rich history of Breckenridge. Walking downtown, I saw a nice blend of residential, religious, and commercial buildings. I marveled at the facades of three churches constructed in the 19th century.
I found the most aesthetically pleasing building along Ridge Street Lincoln. As an art lover, I visited the south main street where I found Breckenridge Gallery and Gary Seoul’s Gallery. These two are the city’s most beautiful galleries.
The High Line Railroad Park
As I was interested in trains, I headed to Highline Railroad Park. Here, I discovered the region’s fascinating railroad history. For train lovers, this is one of the coolest places to visit in the entire area.

The Breckenridge Recreation Center
After all these, I stretched my legs at the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Breckenridge Recreation Center offers many indoor and outdoor activities to do. There are many outdoor fields in Breckenridge Recreation Center such as a tennis court, Basketball court, softball field, and more. The center also has a skatepark, if you are traveling with your Skateboard.
How To Get to Breckenridge
You can get there by air or car. Both are popular but I always like to choose by car. I wanted to enjoy the roadside beauty and also my budget was short. So I decided to get there by car.
If you choose by air then you can land on Denver International Airport. This airport is about 104 miles from Breckenridge. Then you can rent a car from outside of the airport to get there.
