This city has Canada’s largest shopping mall and largest living history museum. This city has something for everyone. I’ve visited this city twice and some places I will never forget. Here, I’ll describe about 11 best things to do in Edmonton, Canada.

You’ll explore different activities and entertainment that turn science into family-friendly fun. The TELUS World Of Science features attractions like an Astronomical Observatory, hands-on science experiments, and an Imax theater, so you don’t have to be a kid to visit the incredible TELUS World Of Science. So whether your trip is solo, family, or with your partner, you will enjoy it.
West Edmonton Mall
West Edmonton Mall isn’t the mall we usually see. Usually, all the shopping malls are packed full of retail stores and food courts but it is a little different. West Edmonton Mall is a 5,00,000-square-meter complex. This is the largest shopping mall in North America. West Edmonton Mall has over 800 stores, 100 dining, an indoor wave pool, 17 water slides, an amusement park, and an ice skating opportunity. You can easily spend your entire weekend exploring the mall.
The Royal Albert Museum
Here, you will learn about the heritage and history of the province’s people. If you are a person who loves to talk about history to understand the past, spend a couple of hours in the Royal Albert Museum. This museum is the largest in the city. You can explore zoology, art, anthropology, international and local archaeology, and geology in this museum. North Saskatchewan River Valley

The North Saskatchewan River Valley is 10 times larger than New York’s Central Park. You can explore golf courses and 100 miles of trail walkways. Don’t miss having a picnic, riding bicycles, kayaking, and canoeing. So this place is recommended for adding to the list of the best things to do in Edmonton.
Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village
This is an open-air museum. The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is established in the 70s. The museum’s main mission is to preserve the cultural heritage of Bukovina and Ukraine. You’ll find here various historically significant buildings and onion-shaped domes.
Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is closed on Monday and Tuesday. So don’t plan for this place on Monday and Tuesday. If you are with your family (2 Adults + Youths. Maximum 8 people. you have to pay $40 for the entry fee, $15 for adults (18-64), $10 for youth (7-17), and 13$ for seniors (65+). But don’t have to pay if you are a Canadian military, Military family member, or Friends of the Ukrainian Society member. For all this reason add this palace to your list of best things to do in Edmonton.
The Art Gallery of Alberta
The Art Gallery of Alberta is located in the heart of downtown Albert. This is the most cultural and popular venue in the state. You will explore over 6000 paintings, artifacts, sculptures, and installations in this art gallery. You’ll find here the historical Canadian work of art on the wall of the Art Gallery of Alberta. The art gallery is very affordable. Children, seniors, and active military people will have to pay only $10.
Muttart Conservatory
Muttart Conservatory is along the north Saskatchewan River. Here you will find four pyramid-shaped glass houses. Muttart Conservatory is also home to city-operated public gardens and greenhouses. People say the Muttart Conservatory is hot and humid. The plants are maintained here.
The size of the conservatory is small but overpriced. Avoid on Saturday if you don’t like too many children. So if you want to explore different species of plants on display, don’t miss this place on the list of the best things to do in Edmonton.
Reynolds-Alberta Museum
Do you love things related to aviation then don’t miss the Teynolds-Alberta Museum. This museum is located in the nearby town. You will explore here everything related to aircraft and vehicles. On the outside of the museum, you will see some historic agricultural equipment, dinosaur steam tractors, caterpillar tractors, and thrashing machines. Raynolds-Alberta Museum has over one hundred historical aircraft. Beside you will see several motorcycles. Also, you will find here a cafe, theater, and gift shop.
Rogers Place
Reger Place is home to the Edmonton Oilers. Rogers Place was opened in 2016. It first opened, and featured curvilinear architecture, it was amazing. When you will enter inside of the Rosers Place you’ll realize that you are in a spacecraft. If you don’t love hockey, no problem at all. This venue is also used for some world’s biggest acts all over the year.
Fort Edmonton Park
Fort Edmonton Park is the largest living history museum in all of Canada. You’ll explore old and reconstructed historical buildings here. At Jogn Jansen Nature Center, visitors can gain knowledge about state’s ecology and geology. Fort Edmonton is a dog-friendly place.
Elk Island National Park
Elk Island National Park is located north of the city. You can explore hiking, wildlife, photographing, and watching the northern lights in this place. You’ll find animals like Black Bears, Moose, Grey Wolves, and Lynxes. Also, you can learn there about about 250 avian species. This is the only place where you could stuck in a bison traffic jam. So after watching the beauty of Aurora, you can wrap up your evening.
